It’s like a love story.
Exhilarating at the beginning.
You feel inspired & motivated.
Coming to it with your best self,
Feeling certain it will be different this time…
Until it begins to ask something of you.
Asking you to emerge and grow in a new way.
Showing you your edges.
The sticky spots.
Suddenly you come to your mat and you tell yourself it’s boring.
That you don’t need it.
That there is something else out there that will feel better.
You’re tired, don’t have time, and the “easier” path of turning away feels better.
It’s no longer shiny, new, or exciting.
It’s hard.
The energy compelling you to be your best has somehow evaporated.
Sound familiar?

My relationship with a daily practice has been one of the great loves of my life.
It is a love that keeps the rhythm. Sets the pace.
Shapeshifting as I shape-shift.
Oscillating between complexity & simplicity.
Meeting me in seasons of life when less is more.
When pulling back and giving it breathing room IS the practice.
& equally…
It calls me forward in seasons of life when a strong structure IS a requirement.
When being the leader of my energy & focus IS the training.
Holding me through seasons of sweat and tears as I show up day after day and maybe don’t like what I see… but I don’t give up.
I don’t abandon ship.
It helps me cultivate the grit required to be fierce and committed to a bigger truth.
This love takes many shapes and yet it started in one place for me…
The mat.
✨ The place where I practice discerning the right action for the moment. ✨
For my body, for my day, for my life.
Helping me integrate the infinite changes and shifts so I may land back in my center point, day after day.
It’s like a great love.
Honing and carving us into the remembrance of our true nature.
If your mat is collecting dust or if you have always been curious about cultivating a consistent practice, I’d love to invite you to come practice with me.
I am co-hosting weekly virtual sessions to drop down and into the body, alongside my teacher, friend, and collaborator.
We are sharing the tools and practices that are the foundation of the work we both do.
We are guiding folks through a simple & effective formula of:
-Calling on the support of plant allies.
-Engaging in breath & movement practices.
-Creating space for sharing & witnessing.
It is the perfect combination of plant medicine and yoga, with group holding and accountability.
If you have been craving space to clear out the noise and connect back into your inner knowing, I encourage you to tune into one of these sessions and see what shifts.
Sending lots of love,
Lisa Marie
