I’ve been quiet here lately.
I am working on taking my own advice.
I’ve been finding the stillness, the space, the silence.
In the darkest part of the year.
The season of rest.
Winter.
The part of the cycle where we let the dust settle.
We take stock of all that has transpired and prepare for the glimmer of light to return once again.
I’ve been doing my best to sync up with these cycles.
For me, part of that is syncing means honoring when the words come and honoring when they don’t.
I promised myself I wouldn’t extract words out of myself just to stay consistent with this newsletter.
I think you’d feel that.
This feels more like a love letter anyway.
And love letters can’t be forced.
So with love, I share with you a poem that did come through recently. A few days before I boarded a plane back to the U.S. (More on that later)
I hope you enjoy it. ❤️
Cycles, Seasons, and Change
The constant
The only thing we can guarantee
And still
we fight.
Fight to stay the same
Fight to hold on to what life is slipping away from us
Fighting to keep what we think keeps us safe.
They say that we don’t let go of things
They let go of us.
I’m learning this
As I practice listening
& feeling in my body.
Hearing for the whisper that says,
‘Now’
Time to go
Time to move
Time to let go.
Sometimes big and sudden
Sometimes bit by bit.
But not a moment before
Because there is wisdom in the cycle
A reason for the season.
And it’s all always changing anyway
We don’t have to do much
All we need to do is listen.
I am here honoring the cycles, the seasons, and the changes… in my life and in yours.
& holding the deep truth that it is all sacred.
What is moving within you? What is settling?
Sending all my love,
Lisa Marie xx
