Oh Lisa, what a valuable gift to those folks! So often people say they don't want to talk about death, perhaps because it scares them or because it makes one re-experience the loss of someone dear. I hear people say "I've always had trouble with death."
But you gave these folks permission while they understood they were in 'safe hands'. Truly life changing for many, I'm sure.
My mother was lucid as she was dying of old age. She said she could feel death "coming from deep inside me, shaking up my world". She was not frightened and indicated the experience was curious/strange but not horrible.
Her words "coming from deep inside me" are most meaningful to me.
